You may use these codes to buy other stuff, but personally I only buy LEGO. so...

Here is a slight explaination of how shopee works so that we can iron out all misunderstandings. I have my share of hiccups since my store opened.

1. Buyer Place Order - applying of promo codes are done here.
2. Shopee alerts Seller and give Buyer 3 days to make payment.
3. Buyer's Action
- Buyer makes payment and Shopee informs seller to ship
- Buyer forgets about it and Shopee cancels the transaction; this part Sellers have no control over and Buyer might lose the promo code.
4. Seller ships items
5. Buyer's Action
- Buyer needs to acknowledge that the good are received
- or apply for extension of date
- If no action from the Buyer, it is assumed that the Buyer has received the items after 7 days and will auto close.
6. Shopee will release payment to the Seller. which will take quite a few days.

Here are a few points to take note of.
- Sellers do not see how much the buyer is paying, what kind or how much savings you managed to offset using codes is not controlled or even seen by the seller.
- Payment settlement takes very long; please do not hold back the seller by buying something and not collecting. True that you paid for the items, but the Seller wont receive anything til much later. if you wish to create an unfavourable environment for the Sellers, they will simply list at a slower pace to have more payments clearing before listing more.
- Regardless of how many account or how many codes the Buyer is using, its the Buyer putting in effort to save as much as possible. Sellers don't have to adjust your pricing accordingly. You are not LLM.

A Seller Buyer relationship can be a cooperative one. We don't have to kill one another. Think Win-Win.

History of Seasonal Vignette - 20160210

The beginning of seasonal vignette. Back in 2015 Feb, a friend ask if i want this set. It was the first time i see or heard of this. price was friendly, $25 for a shipping damaged box. Hmmm... took it without much thinking. Later on, price for this set went up to $40-50 due to its rarity. it was never made available in Singapore in 2015.

However, in Jan of 2016, it has made itself available at LCS stores. I had the blessing to get some at its retail price -10% discount. $18.9. after 10% discount = $17. If you happen to chance upon it, do help me get it as each person is only allowed to buy 2.

Why do i need more than 2 of this? TO RESELL OF COURSE! no la, thats not my intention despite that being the motive of most of the ppl buying. There will always be fellow fans who come to me after missing out on sets. Though  there is no obligation for me to help them, i still try to help as and when i can. anyway, this is one of the sets i will be getting for certain parts.

What inspired this? such question can only be answered by the designer herself. however we can still guess. What i think inspired this was the large amount of AFOL-created vignette for CMF (Collectible Mini Fig)

May 2015, another friend ask if i want the easter set. $25, took it too. didnt open up to play. i usually only open my second set. if i only have 1 set, more likely that i will be keeping it MISB.

Fast forward into September 2015, LEGO 40122 and LEGO 40123 are available at LCS store and LEGOLand Malaysia. There was a fierce que at LCS stores locally.  LLM restrict to only 2 per person after AFOL went in to sweep at alarming rate. how alarming? LEGO land was supposed to open at 10am for the general public. Annual pass holders are allowed in half an hour before it opens. at 9.40am, all the stock on the shelf are GONE. it wasnt til 11am that the stock are being replendish with the added clause that only 2 per person is allowed. Locally at LCS stores, the sets never stayed on the shelfs past 8pm. before the stocks are even counted, ppl are already queing up at 10am just to be able to buy.

2 months later,  LEGO 40124 and LEGO 40125 came out. same story. went through alot of pain to get. at the same time, you see alot of unhappiness and flame threads on facebook. Despite what the fans are saying, none of them are willing to take a day off to go and que up to buy like the scalpers and they are not willing to pay higher price. I took leave to que for it.

For the items to be available to everyone, abundance of stock is needed. This is one of the set, i feel should be made evergreen. It wont go out of season. (pun intended) Its a shame if ppl have to go without this just because they are not willing to pay a few more dollars to buy from scalpers that goes to all the trouble to just make a few dollars. There isnt any reason not to keep churning out these sets until everyone get a set of thier own.

I'm glad that this series resurfaced again this year. hopefully it will keep coming back. like the wedding set.

Launching of Adsense - 20160210

Today, after 6 month, i have added adsense to my blog.
